He is using tractor based agricultural implements for most of the agricultural works on his farm.

According to the Haryana Horticulture Department, Gurugram’s progressive farmer Satish Kumar calls himself an urban farmer and believes in adopting advanced technology. For the last several years, Satish Kumar is cultivating vegetables and fruits. Satish Kumar told that with the help and information received from the Horticulture Department, the profit in his farming is increasing.
Satish Kumar himself believes that farming is such a work, in which if someone engages once, he can learn something new for years. He says that we also try our best to stay advanced, because the thing which we had adopted in farming 10 years back, it may be updated after 10 years and increase our profits by reducing our hard work.

getting profit only from cow dung

Satish explains that the use of chemicals would have been right only up to a limit, but natural farming is the right way to maintain balance in nature. Tell that Satish Kumar uses staking and mulching method in fruit-vegetable gardening, which gives 3 to 4 times more profit than traditional farming.
Advance booking of fruits and vegetables
The name of Gurugram is also included in the big cities of the country. The population of this city is so high and it is also close to Delhi, so there is a demand for fruits and vegetables. Progressive farmer Satish Kumar is also getting its benefit. He says that for marketing of fruits and vegetables, one does not have to wander in the market, rather booking is done in advance over the phone itself. The mangoes of his farm are being sold at Rs.140 per kg and chiku at Rs.80 to 100 per kg.
Advance booking is done every year. There are 10 to 12 trees on his second farm too, out of which 5 are big. Progressive farmer Satish Kumar says that mangoes worth about Rs 70,000 are sold in a season. Today Satish Kumar gives the credit of his success to agricultural techniques. They say that we are very happy by adopting new technologies. By using these techniques, our income has increased by 3 to 4 times.
